• Agree to never smoke around compressed gas cylinders.
Properly handle compressed gas cylinders.
• Recall the possible hazard of dragging cylinders.
• State the best way to move a cylinder.
• Identify the safety cap as the cylinder valve's protection.
• List steps to safely handle compressed gas cylinders.
Properly store compressed gas cylinders.
• Distinguish the four basic methods of storage.
• Select proper storage techniques.
• List safety precautions when storing oxidizers and flammable cylinders.
Know which types of fittings and connections are used for most cylinders.
• Explain the purpose of a regulator.
• Agree that there are specific CGA fittings for specific gases.
• Explain the purpose of a PRD.
• Define a flashback.
• Select a flame arrester as the device to prevent a flashback.
Test for leaks with a compressed gas system.
• Recall the need to check valves and fittings for leaks once cylinders are connected and systems assembled.
• Explain how to check fittings and valves for leaks.
